KOOKs Headers w/cats
You guys that have installed kooks headers w/cats welded to their x-pipe they provide have a lot poping sound on de-acceleration or down shifting? I know that I have alot :( I had the magnaflow x-pipe installed before with very little poping noise. I am thinking of getting the cats welded to the magnaflow x-pipe and reinstall. I hoping that will fix it. Any advice? Thanks
IMHO, I dont think it will make a bit of difference. Its just the headers and overall less restrictive exhaust. I'm assuming when you said you got very little popping with the magnaflow, you also had the stock exhaust manifolds?
I just bought the kooks, hi flows, x- pipe, and the GHL's. how loud are they and did you notice performance improvement. Do you think they are to loud???

Re: KOOKs Headers w/cats (phils C5 vette)
Actually I was quite surprize how quiet it was! I mean it is a tad louder at idle but nothing like I thought which is good. Of course at WOT she wakes right up! Shifting through the gears now is even more fun from the sound! What I don't like is the popping sound which I address in this thread. Yes I want to say I noticed a difference in Hp however I am staying reserve until I get the tune done. Yes I am happy unless the dyno tells me otherwise!
