Just need some input on lowering a car with the F45 system.
1. By doing the "standard" lowering trick just doing the stock bolts does this screw up the F45 ride at all?
2. If #1 is "no" then can I lower it even further by cutting bushings without screwing up the F45?
I have put Z06 wheels/Kumho Ecsta MX tires on it so the installed height is 1" lower than stock to begin with. I would like to decrease the wheel well gap over the tires.
Thanks for your info and opinions ahead of time .

What? Why would Z06 wheels be lower than "stock" I know they are not. You may need to repost and change your title to include the F45 question.
Installed height of the wheel and tire combo IS 1" less than on a stock C5 wheel and tire combo. I am using Stock Z06 wheels and Kumho Ecsta MXs in the stock Z06 sizes. I will modify to include F45 in the header.
Thanks

Re: Questions on Lowering with the F45 system (a6fan)
Rick, I have the F45 suspension on my 99. Lowered the car by just turning the stock bolts and wasn't happy with the stance :nonod: Jacked the car back up a little later and removed the front bolts all togethrer. I even shaved 1/3 off the rear bushings too! Car still rides great and handles likes its on rails. Still has a little gap in the fender wells but can't really go any lower unless I go with coilovers. Good luck and drop that bad boy, you'll love it :reddevil

you literally just removed the front bolts? that doesn't effect driving ability at all?
Yes, the stock Z06 wheel/tire sizes have a lower overall diameter than standard C5 wheels/tires but of course the car isn't actually lowered by that much, only half of it (car rides on only one side of the tires at a time ;))...but it can give the look/appearance (and reality) of larger wheel well gaps.
Re: Questions on Lowering with the F45 system (a6fan)
Basically, I included installed height numbers because there is a difference between the Z06 and the EMT tires. I am concerned with making the F45 "read" the car as too low (hitting a bump?) and stiffing up the shock so as to make the ride too harsh all the time. Maybe I'm not giving the computer enough credit but I read something on another web page about how this 'might' be a concern so I wanted some answers from ownrs who actually did the lowering on an F45 car. I appreciate your time in answering.

2000 Cpe with F45. 265/35/18 frt & 295/35/18 rr. Lowered front 1-3/4 by cutting 2/3 off bushings & rear by 1-3/4 with longer bolts. Ride is firmer but acceptable to me. Had it 1/4 lower but was scraping on everthing. Just raising 1/4 made a big difference. Also felt like the shocks were bottoming at lower height, now OK.

Oh yeah!! Yanked those bad boys out of there! Had an alignment after settling and haven't had any troubles. :D
