What should the alternator read?

What should the alternator read?
My vette shows 13.3-13.5 volts normally. I know this is o.k. but I thought alternators normallly put out high 13's or low 14's which mine never shows. The electrical seems fine, is this voltage normal? :chevy

Yep!! Depends on how much load is on the system and the condition of your battery. If the battery is older it will load down the system and you will read in the low 13's
