Ceramic brake pads ?

Ceramic brake pads ?
I just bought a set of ceramic pads but, I am at a loss as to one thing.
Can some one tell me what the two black spacer things are and where they go?? I am sure they attach to the back of two of the pads but do they go on the inside or outside pad? TIA

I am hoping to get them on next weekend over the holiday along with Baer rotors and upgrade to the '04 shocks. It should be fun weekend.
I will let you know what I think of them after the install. With the OE pads I can really mess up a clean wheel after two hard stops.

Ted: That is exactly what I am doing...have the Eradispeeds sitting in the garage. I'm hoping the ceramic pads are clean AND quiet on the new rotors.

Maybe I am missing some parts then.
Let me clarify.
Looking at the front set of pads. There are 4 pads total. 2 inside pads and 2 outside pads. The kit only contains 2 of the black shims NOT 4.
Yes I realize you don't want to put the shim on the wear area of the pad. :lol:
But, do the 2 shims go on the backside of the Outside pads or on the backside of the Inside pads. The kit does not have 4 shims. Only two.
