Roger they shiped it the same week I ordered mine and picked up the core two days after install.
Cedric, that sounds good. We will put the roll bars in as soon as we get them, then I have to decide on when to get the tranny. I am leaning on just going ahead and biting the bullet. I do not want the thing exploding down the track and since I don't drive it at the track, I would be devastated :cry :mad if I had waited too long and have the thing fail when Jeff was driving it!

Did you just order the new tranny with your tranny still in the car and then ship the stock one back to FLP after their unit was installed?

Roger I had FLP to ship it to MTI and I drove down and they installed it while I waited .When they finished we put it back in the special shipping creight and I called FLP and that was that.

Wow, didn't realize that!

Oh well, maybe I will procrastinate longer and the sale will come around again!

Got my car back on friday and all's well. We installed a 9 disk clutch pack, heavy duty band, the parts from the Transgo that can only be installed with the trans apart and a few other things the trans tech said would help the life of the trans. What a difference. It was slipping and I couldn't tell. I thought it was the way the PT 4000 was. It actually feels pretty tight with the 3.90's. It shifts in each gear now. I can't tune it on the road now. It spins the tires in 1-2 and 3. I can't get a good enough run to even set shift points.
I was told that a possible cause for the clutch and band going out early is the valve body filter screen. It can collapse at high RPM's and cause loss of line pressure. Transgo provides a mod for that problem and it was not installed in my car as it should have been. I guess I'll find out if it makes a difference. :steering:

I have to add, that I now know why Roger runs the PT40o0 and 3.90's. It is one badazz setup. Man is it fun. But you do get in deeper. To take advantage I need a bigger cam and so on.
