You can buy the complete pumkin with 3.42 gears from one of the forums vendors. Or you can check the C5 Parts For Sale Forum, you can sometimes find 3.42 rears for sale for about $500.00. If you already have 3.15 gears you can have a 3.42 ring and pinion installed in your carrier.
Try to find someone in your area who is swapping out 3.42's from their 6sp for something higher. You might get a good deal that way. Don't be in hurry, there are several vendors who offer 3.42's (and other ratio's too) pumpkins and they occasionally have "excess" 3.42's at better prices. By the way, those same vendors will eventually need "cores" and will buy your old 3.15 (or 2.73) pumpkin. Good luck!
Price need to check how much for the 4.1.
It is a stock M6 so 3.42 I assume
The car is 7500 miles, 6500 around Denver on the road. 500 miles speeding on highway or in the mountain road and 500 miles on track heavy condition. but as my car has a stock engine and leaving at 6000 feet if I've got 250 RWHP at elevation that it. I went once to DesMoines and see a huge engine HP gain.
I was trying to find out what the gear ratio is in my '00 FRC 6 speed. I looked in my owners manuel and could find nothing. Is it marked on the diff somewhere? Just curious :steering: :steering:
