Got my Kooks 1 7/8 headers w/ 3"x3" crossover w/ hi-flow cats installed. I have a friend that works for Chevy who put them on. He said they were a real mother f#@*!%. Vette sounds nice and pulls really hard. If anybody needs some pointers on install just ask. My friend told me what he had to do.

If I remember correctly, you were previously running 1 3/4" longtubes on your stroker and then changed to the 1 7/8" Kooks. (?)
If this is the case, then I'd be interested in finding out if you noticed either a drop on the low end or if you opened up the top end with the exhaust change.
Please share your experience...either with a dyno pull or by a "seat of the pants" description. There are lots of us on the forum (I for one) just waiting to get some input on the Kooks. sj
Haven't re-dyno'd since the 1 7/8" Kooks install but they did produce a SOTP difference in all RPM ranges, most notably above 5500 RPM. They also produced a deeper sound at idle and cruise, louder at WOT.
BTW, had TPIS 1 3/4", no cats, and Bassani x-pipe (nice set-up) and now have Kooks 1 7/8", random tech MM cats, and 3" pipes back to catback. Last dyno was 504RWHP -500RWT -
I just did the install on my KOOKS during christmas as well, definately notice a big difference on a mostly stock car ( KOOKS longtubes, Xpipe, intermediate, Vortex, air bridge ) Sounds alot sweeter too
Do you really have to take off the starter and the oil filter? What a son of a bitch! Plan on takling mine next weekend, how long did it take you guys to install?

I was running 1 3/4 before. It sounds a lot better. Deeper sound. The seat of the pants says  Seems to just pull a lot harder. I will be going to the dyno when I have time.
