I have a CD which has all the part numbers (though they are sometimes hard to read) try 10253838. I hope this helps. - Ron

GM PART # 10253839 = DESCRIPTION: TRANSM-LK

GM PART # 10253838 = DESCRIPTION: ATTACHMEN

I am guessing the first one is what I need

bryan-v,
i'm sitting here with my remote in my hand and it's definitely 10253839.
it has the passive on /off switch on the front.
perhaps schmaltzr misread the CD or he did a typo.

I am getting ready to order one new.
Well I am going to put a WTB ad up first.
What does the passive switch do?

Thanks, Bryan

The passive switch allows you to lock and unlock the doors while the fob is in your pocket. Also, if you lock you keys in the car, you can open the doors by shaking your car.

The fob has a motion sensing switch which sends out a weak (6 feet) signal when it moves. This was only available on early model years. Most people turn off this feature. I see it is on the C6 also.
