i cannot locate the purple wire that i need to splice into so the stock foglight switch will work to turn them off and on  any help would be appreciated
I'd be glad to go to the garage, take the cover off the car and see where I spliced into the wire..............but I need to head to the gym in a few minutes. If no one comes up with the location, I'll do it when I get back :seeya
did your car come with factory fogs?ifnot, your car may not have the proper wiring.when you go to the fuseblock under the hood[where the relay is]i'm pretty sure it's fuse #6 that should have the purple wire to the switch.pop up the box and look[there are other purple wires there, but they are not the right ones. the relay[#39],should have a purple wire that goes from the relay to the fuse, from the fuse to the switch.
yes it came with foglights... i unclipped the fuse box and took off the one bolt but i could only lift the fuse box probably about half an inch to see the wires, is there anyway i can lift it up anymore

Yes, that's an undisclosed problem with these "easy" :mad instructions: unclip the fuse box and loosen one bolt, and it still only comes up a few inches, what with all the wiring attached to it. Very awkward. The alternative is to splice into the purplie wire down at the original wiring to the lights themselves.
yea i figure it out about an hour ago. thank you forum members for the help!!! i was definetly lost with that purple wire :banghead: all i have to say is wow though, i dont know why i didnt put these on sooner
also... about aiming these, i pointed them down as far as it goes pretty much and theyre still insanely brite  is there any way to know i aligned them right so i dont blind anyone
Mine are aimed about 10 feet or so in front of the vette, and they are really bright  I don't really know if the alignment is that critical, unless you really have them pointed up. I just used my stock fog lamp brackets and went with that.

:iagree: I used the stock brackets, and didnt worry too much about adjusting and they look great, no flashes from oncoming drivers so it must not be too blinding to oncoming traffic.

Here's how I aimed mine. On a level surface park the car about 25' from a wall. Turn on your low beams and mark an x where the center of the beam hits the wall. Aim your Piaa's about 2-3 inches below the center line and a bit to the right of eack mark. I never get flashed.
