Default Cartek 2X REV2 Install almost done.

I'm stoked! The install should be done by Thu. (MSI in Roseville, CA has earned my respect the last few days; guys there are real professionals) I look forward to a dyno session within a week or two. I'm hoping for ~450 at the wheels, but somehow I feel thats a long shot. Anyone want to guess the numbers??

Anyone else with the REV2 2X package dyno recentlly??

As of today: (thats a cartek head on the engine now)

If you have an aluminum flywheel, and underdrive pulley, 470. I know of guys doing that through 4:10's and mufflers.

Without Cartek doing the install and tune i predict around 425 rwhp but hope i'm wrong and that you meet your goals and expectations!!!! I honestly believe that to pull the AWESOME numbers that Cartek legitimately gets with their heads/cam setup that Cartek actually has to work their tuning magic by installing and tuning their complete top end H/C package just perfectly right for everything to come together in perfect harmony and especially with JULIOS unsurpassed ls1 edit tuning prowess!

Best of luck and look forward to the results!!!

Yeah, I was wondering a bit about the gears. Did you run the car w/3.42s?

99Coupe, where are your ETs or have you had time to get away from your job as Brent's shadow?

Good one. I guess Brent was right since that is all you have to say.

Who cares about my et's anyway. I went 11.55 @ 123 and Dave from Cartek drove it 11.10 @124, since you asked.

4.10's are the best mod hands down even with-out the added power...

i did have 3.42's for 2-3 weeks

then went to 3.90's for 3-4 months

then went to 4.10's.....im.sorry i didnt just do it 1st

you cant imagine how much better it is till you do it!!!

is keeps you in the power band that this pkg loves to be in

trust me

Nice package I want to see some real 1/4 times. Some place other than Englishtown when its 40 degrees. That track has to be one of the fastest in the country that is where Muscle Mustangs does all their unbelievable runs. I'm not bashing the product just want to see some results in normal weather at a normal track. If you get 10's @ 126~~ I will be very impressed or even run 126 mph in the 1/4 is impressive for a heads and cam, and bolt on car. Please keep us informed.

99 blue, was the 11.1 at 124 mph in the 408?, or was it just a head and cam, I would think it was just the heads and cam, as these packages are kicking butt....seems slow for a Cartek 408, their HC cars are fast!
Thanks!

No, the 11.10 was with the 408 and to make it worst I wasn't even driving. I need to pratice a bit. It seems that most h/c cars are Zo6 so they have a bit of a weight advantage. I've only put slicks on the car the one time and that wasn't even with the skinnies. I had my heavy HRE wheels on the front. I figure my car weighs 3400-3500 lbs with a 200 lbs driver. Also, I have cats on the car so I'm giving up a few hp and tq with that. I just want a fast street car and that is what cartek gave me. I'll be lucky if I make it to the track 2 or 3 times this year.
