Default driver seat height dilema

I swear my drivers seat is about 2" higher than the passenger seat. I guess because of the power gizmo stuff under it. Even set as low as it goes I have to slide it all the way back cause if I dont, when I get out and forget to duck I crack my noggin on the roof frame. There is no hope for my head but I dont want to hurt the car. Has any one put a non-power passenger seat on the drivers side? I dont reallly care about the power feature, I would rather have the headroom. The seat has good lumbar support and a manual adjustment forward and back is good enough. Will it bolt right in? In the meantime I plan to do the rocking seat repair this weekend. The picture posted by ken robbs are a terrific help and the post by eric fischer describing the simplified proceedure definately will save time. Thanks for any input about the seat height issue  :steering:

You can try swapping the seats from side to side in your car, the bolt patterns should be the same. If you like it then you can splice into the power wires on the drivers side and run an extention under the carpet over to the passenger side. Sounds kinda  , but it just might work.

I decided if the rocking seat fix doesnt solve my problem, I will look arond for another passenger seat without the power option. Actually after seeing the suede pad on the back portion of the seat on the right side, all I really will need will be the base and base cushion. Ill reuse the drivers side back portion. i just wanted to know if any one else had done a similar fix, Thanks :steering:

You also have to reach for the passenger-side seat belt and buckle it over towards your left. Might have to shift with your left hand. The speedo will also read counter-clockwise.
