Default mass air sensor & air temperature sensor

do you need to disconnect the battery to unplug these items i am installing a k&n fipk and dont want to reprogram all the car options or will it cause a computer probem

no, just don't do it with the car running or ignition on. There is no voltage with the ignition off.

Either modern car electronics are real fickle or the manufacturers of specialty parts are just plain covering their asses because their first instruction is usually to disconnect the battery. Disconnecting the battery can be a pain if memory settings become lost and have to be re-set. There is allways the possibility of your below average fiddler hitting a hot wire or forgetting to plug a wire back in, somehow causing an arc, which could do some damage somewhere. All this supposes a "worst case" senario, which is highly unlikely. Generally, if you're real careful with wrenchs and screwdrivers around the battery terminals and hot wires, and don't stick sharp metal things into wire connectors, there will be no problems. :smash:
