I am getting a set of TPIS Coated long tube headers this week and was going to attempt the install by myself. Does anyone have the directions that they could email me or any tips would be greatly appreciated. I will have a lift and every tool available. Thanks for any input.
P.S. The headers will be installed into a custom h-pipe.
Re: TPIS Header installion tips and extras?? (Y2KRoadster)
Any header write up will basically be the same. I've done two sets(both from the top). It's a straight forward procedure as long as you take your time and don't get frustrated.
When your installing the TPIS H-Pipe, insert it into the headers before doing any tach welding (junction to the front of factory cats, if using) to make sure everything is in alignment.

I have an X-Pipe welded into my mid-section piping. Would I still have to use the TPIS H-Pipe on the front of the cats or would sleeves work just as well? Would there be a benefit to using their H-pipe with my mid-section setup? Thanks.
