I will be picking up my new blk04Z06 some time this week  The car is being shipping in from Lessstanford Chevy. I am curious what can we do for mods in California?

Congrats! And welcome to the forum.

I'd say long tube headers are a good place to start, unless you plan on sending it right to Lingenfelter for the Turbos... which is always the way to go, if you have the dough!

Good luck!

Welcome! :seeya

Don't know much about the inspection process in CA as we don't have one here in FL. Contact one of the forum vendors in CA and find out how much you can do!

With long tubes you will never pass the visual inspection, unless you have a hookup. I would say if you want to stay legal, make sure your purchases have a CARB number on them.... I hooked up with some SD corvette guys a couple of weeks back. They were all hating to have their car inspected.

Keep your stock stuff, just in case

Congrats Morzoff on the new Z06! :steering:

FYI...I've posted some info on catalytic converters WRT the EPA and CARB at a post over @ http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=740204. I hope you find it useful.

Personally, I just ordered a set of LG long tubes and am looking fwd to experiencing my 'Vette's new lungs. Of course, I also hope I won't bust upcoming(?) emissions control laws in GA by the addition of my new tubes-n-cats. Guess I need to get my ride tuned after the install.

Many regards! :seeya

Thanks for the info :) I will make sure that all mods come with a CARB number. Is that a California thing?
