Anybody with a hurst have a difficult time getting fully engaged in reverse?
Sometimes it takes me a couple tries... it feels like it's in the gate, but I've learned to barely let the clutch out to see if it grabs first because sometimes it just grinds.
Re: Hurst shifter... hard to get into reverse?? (Thud)
All C5's tend to do this, it's not the Hurst.
A simple trick is to (keep the clutch depressed the whole time) put into 3rd, then 4th, then it will slide right into reverse. Try it, it will become routine for you in no time.

Ah, interesting. I'm guessing it has to do with getting things spinning inside the gearbox first before it slides into the reverse gate.
I'm still getting used to the hurst (came with the car) since I've been driving a C4 with the stock shifter. Shifting into 6th will one day throw out my shoulder!
Good advice on the reverse though, I'll try that tomorrow. I'd hate to break the tranny from going backwards.
