B&M shifter problems

B&M shifter problems
Installed a shifter on a friends car and all the forward gears engage fine and with the typical B&M toughness. But the problem is reverse. It takes two hands to get past the tension of the shifter to enter the gate. This does not seem right. Any thoughts?????

Yep, me and a buddy had the same problem on the reverse being to "tuff" to engage, but after a week or so it got "looser" and now shifts good. My guess was that it needed time to break-in.

did you install a skip shift eliminator and unpluge the reverse lockout instead? Just a thought. :confused:

reverse lockout?? I thought it was similar to the 94+ C4's, no reverse lockout?
