Re: Does the Blackwing throw codes??????? (dogdoc97)
Properly installed, no, no air filter upgrade should throw codes or cause problems.
If you do get any codes, the likely cuplrit would be loose airbridge connections between the MAF sensor and throttle body. Any air leak downstream of the MAF can cause lean codes.
Re: Does the Blackwing throw codes??????? (dogdoc97)
No codes with my Blackwing. Not re-connecting the MAF connector or one of the rubber couplings improperly installed could cause problems. Over-oiling the filter might also throw a code from the residue on the small wires in the MAF.

Yup. I installed mine a week ago. Make sure the MAF sensor connector and the temp sensor wire are seated correctly. It's easy to leave one partially loose.
