"wheel hop" ?

I went to the test and tune at Montgomery today and got 11 runs in, and got some decent times considering how slick the track was. I also tested out a camera mount that i rigged up yesterday from some parts at home depot so i could record what was going on in the car, and that's where the problem came in. As I was looking back at the videos, it seems that everytime i lost traction the shifter was shacking badly. That includes the burnout, the start, and shifting into 2nd , a little less in 3rd and a just a small shake in 4th. While i was driving, it felt like the back wheels were bouncing up and down a bit, and to be honest i didn't even notice the shifter shaking until i watched to videos. I would post one of the videos so you could see what i'm talking about, but all i have is a crappy dial up connection here, so it would take a week to upload the videos. Does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening.
Oh, i was running on run-flats, better tires would solve half of the traction issues, but i can't justify the cost to myself right now. On the positive side, i'm down to a 13.2@109 with intake and cat-back exhaust mods only.
Thanks

I had similar issues at the track on my EMT, I am hoping the new tires w/ softer sidewall will relieve most of the wheel hop.
In my car it seemed like I got less hop after I lowered the rear suspension. It may be in my head, but it would stand to reason that transfering the weight toward the back a little more would help.

Okay, next weekend, i'm visiting my family then the next sunday i'm taking my last run a t the 1/4 mile for 2 years. Short of getting new tires or lowering the suspension, what can i do. It's frustrating to know that the tires are what is holding me back.
