Tire sensors computer programmer needed
Thanks for any info on this,
Bob

If you are only bolting on wheels for the track, I would not bother programming them for a day, or even installing sensors in them. You might get a "service tire mon. sys." error message on the DIC when using those wheels, but all you need to do is hit reset and go race. It will not cut power or anything like that.
When you put your street tires back on, everything will be back to normal and the readings will resume with no programming.
Tools required:
Key to your car
Magnet (I use my craftsman magnetic retrieval tool, saves you from bending over too)
With engine off, turn the key to the ON position
Press the "Options" button on the dash until it goes to the blank spot
Press and hold reset for 3-5 seconds
The DIC will display "FOB" training, (heres where I cant remember if you let it time out, or if you hit reset to continue, anyone?)
Next will be "Pressure Sensor Training" (or something like that)
Press Reset to begin, or maybe it just starts it after a couple of seconds(I can never remember)
Now take your magnet and go to the Front-Driver-Side wheel, and hold the magnet (gently lest you scratch) the wheel to just one side of the valve stem wait 3-5 seconds and the car should HONK and flash lights. If this doesnt happen move the magnet to the other side of the valve stem and wait 3-5 again. Move clockwise around the car Front -Pass, Rear-Pass, Rear Driver, and repeat. You have to get them all in one set for them to take.
If one will not train, double check the DIC to make sure it didnt exit out of the training mode. If it still wont program, you probably have a bad sensor. You will still be able to read pressure off the ones programmed before it in the rotation.
Hope that helps, good luck!
D'oh, guess I took too long typing, y2kvert4me beat me to it!
