ive heard stories of the varam intake to be bad butt, can you guys tell me if it is worth the money, did you really feel the difference when the car was stock with varram thanx
I have heard that as well...I have the Blackwing and noticed some improvement as did guys with the Vortex setup..I personally think they all offer some increases which is better..I dont know...probably all pretty much the same except price
Not sure why you have heard bad things about the Vararam. I have the VR-1B and noticed a real SOTP difference. I think it is great! I read many posts that say the same thing and I think you will find that the Vararam is really popular.
Of course, so are many of the other intakes sold. Jim Hall's system is very highly thought of and I've heard good things about the Blackwing and others as well.

Good luck :seeya
He didn't say he heard "bad things" he heard it was "bad" as in badazz :D
A VaraRamVR-1B will not show much if any horsepower improvement on a typical chassis dynamometer. This is because the VaraRam system is designed to use the pressurized air on the front of the vehicle at speeds in excess of 50 mph to pressurize the system.
I too have noted a performance improvement with the VR-1B in my Z06. I notice it most significantly from 60 mph + when a I do a fourth gear WOT acceleration.

If you feel the Vararam is a 'bad' system then any amount of money would be unjustified. Personally, I selected the Blackwing as I felt that it had the best SOTP to cost ratio. I think you'll discover that most of the aftermarket intake systems offer comparable performance gains.
