by the way, i just did a 4 tire sensor re-learn last week, and when each sensor was rest, the horn honked. don't know if that affects anything with the horn later on??? do i need to have to re-learn the horn?
Mine went out too. It seems to work occasionally, every once in a while. Sometimes when the car is off, sometimes when I'm driving. I don't see any pattern. Hopefully someone can help us.
Is the horn itself dead or the connection between the steering wheel and the horn inoperative? Most horns have to have a good ground so I would check that first.
I don't think I've ever used my horn. If someone is in my way, I step on the gas and pass them. If I need to get someone's attention, I rev up the engine.
Loosing a horn doesn't seem like a problem to me! Ha ha!
I have a friend whose horn died on his C5 last year. I'm pretty sure he had the Chevy dealer fix it for him. They can do it easily, I'm sure, but they usually charge more than it's worth. Good luck trying to get her working again!
The Euros flash their lights to get someone to move over but I doubt the drivers here would understand that and would probably go into "road rage" mode :nono:

It's a big problem for street racers. How will we count it off? Screaming 1,2,3, GO!!!! doesn't work too good if you have a weak voice. The horn works a lot better. I guess I wore it out.
But seriously, on mine I think its some kind of connection and not the horn itself because the horn beeps fine when I push the lock button. I just got it inspected too. How embarrasing, the horn worked on my driveway and on the way, but when I got there and they tried it, it wouldn't work. They asked me to do it and I couldnt' get it to work. I said it works occasionally and was working just before I got there. They said, if they can just hear it once, they'll pass it. I pushed the lock button right when I pushed the horn, I think they knew I cheated but passed it anyway.
