the one-
Nice piece. We were unaware of your brace you fabbed and now seeing it, the differences between your design and our's are certianly apparant.

GTC-
I was thinking the same thing. We're nearly finished w/ our A4 prints for that kit, but we would certainly be interested in drawing up the installation instructions using your car as the model. Give me a call and we'll figure out the details. :)

Thanks Phil. Great looking product you have there. If I weren't already set up I'd be fighting for one of those first run units. :yesnod:

I'm in as well, now with some of the new tranny kits coming out we may be able to leave the track in the same car we came in--

Phil,

I just talked to you on the phone and ordered your Differential Strut .

This is the answer to my concerns about differential case, transmission case, and transmission main shaft durability. The timing is perfect also. My Z06 comes out of hibernation in six weeks, and I will install the Differential Strut when I install my headers.

Thanks for designing and making this product available. :flag :seeya

Phil,
does the tranny/diff need to be out of the car for the install?

No it does not. :) As stated in the first post, installation can be accomplished while the drive train is still in the car.

Phil,

What other driveline improvements/mods were made to the test cars besides the new strut? Does this negate the need of hardened output shafts, drive shafts, etc?

Both cars had the best differential we build w/ all the HD components. The differential strut adds rigidity to the differential and transmission case assy, in addition to the internal upgrades that are neccessary for a bulletproof driveline. :)

DTE and Yank Torque Converters are working in a joint effort to produce a drive line differential strut for Major Spray's car and any other C5 Corvette for that matter, that utilizes their TH400 transmission conversion package for drag racing.

We have the mock-up components here now from Yank T.C. for that package and when we finish a prototype for Major Spray, we'll post related photos. :)

Phil

We will have a complete M/T Differential Strut set-up on display in our pit spot at the races this weekend for those that wish to see this product first hand for themselves. It will be fully assembled on a mock-up trans/differential fixture for visual reference. :) We'll also have one on Rodney Massengale's (Crashed 94) 2001 Z06 also, as he is going to do some racing with it. For those of you that don't know his car, his has the pearl/silver convertable Z06 w/ the high rise hood.

Just some cheap FYI.... :)

Phil

Thanks. :yesnod:

That will only add cost and complexity to the package because everyone wants a different color from everyone else. That's why we offer this kit in either red, black or bare metal for those that wish to have their kit powder coated themselves to the color that suits their tastes, or that matches their car. :)

Phil

Phil,

I am concerned with the possibility of Galvanic Corrosion. Would you please explain in some detail what steps and material you are going to use in your paint process to prevent galvanic corrosion.
