Most people buy the system for the sound and the quality (looks), not for any real HP gains. If your car is heavily modded (heads/cam etc...) you may experience more of a gain.

Ditto that. Why the manufacturers still use the 'added HP+' as marketing
ploy is kinda ridiculous these days. If one exhaust really generated a
signifigant number than others, there would be a run on it.
Most claim between 8-15, with 15 a stretch at that. Now headers and
exhaust might be a different story.
Well, with just exhaust & headers I have run a 12.6 with my A4 on stock runflats if that says about the power gains. One thing you have to consider is the stock manifolds/collector and upwards pipes/cat are quite a bit restrictive. The GHL exhaust is probably the most free flowing exhaust on the market (besides straight pipes). However, it can't be expected to do all the work for you without allowing it to breathe FROM your engine to the cat-back. The GHL exhaust will continue to accent every other mod you do because it will allow your engine to properly exhale. Just save up the money to do a header install at the same time and you will be very pleased.
