Easy Entry - Anyone having problems?
I have been having problems with the Easy Entry Feature on my 2001 Vette. It works sometimes, but other times the seat does not adjust correctly. I have noticed that when it does, then seat moves part way up when I insert the key, stops, then when I start the car, it moves the rest of the way. This has been happening for so long, I don't recall its correct operation. Is this the way its suppose to work? Anyone else have this problem? Its been in the shop three times for repair and it still does it...

I've had a similar occurrance with mine on occasion, but most of the time it works just fine. Don't know why it does this every once and a while.

Two possibilities come to mind:
1. dirty resistor pellet in ignition key
2. bad contact of pellet in ignition lock.

During "normal" operation, does your seat move twice? IN other words, once when you insert the key and the rest of the way when you start the engine?
Can you guys check your easy entry feature to see which way yours is working?

Thanks for the advice. Are you a service tech? Should I pass this as a real possibility to my dealer? They are working on it at this time and seem a bit stumped.
