Default somethings loose!! (update)

I got a 99 coupe 6m when I hit bumps or even small imperfections in the road it sounds liks a bunch of washers on a loose bolt rattling I put it on the lift and went over the car with a wrench but could'nt find anything loose?? I grabed, shook, and taped around with a rubber mallet but still did not find anything out of the ordinary?? any suggestions

Next time this happens, assuming you're not going too fast (< 40 MPH), loosen the driver's side latch of your removeable roof panel for a moment and see if the problem stops.

If it does, then you need to adjust the latch plate to decrease the play. After 3 years, my car starting making a rattling sound over small bumps as you mentioned that sounded like something banging around between the dash and the windshield. Once I adjusted the latch plates to be tighter, the noise stopped.

Check the exhaust flanges right before the pipe goes over the axel. The bolts maybe tight but the weld could be cracked. Mine was

Only with window down?

Well since you've check the undercarriage, what about inside the door panel?

Maybe lower the window to all but an inch and shake it around some. Or pull the panel and do some looking around.

Perhaps a rock (or washer or screw) is traped behind the front wheel fender liner near the PCM? Maybe something under the battery area?

found out its my brakes? maybe the pads are flopping around. When I hit the brakes the noise stops. I took the calipers off and everything seems fine the metal clips are present and the pads are not worn. Also there is not excessive runout?? any suggestions?
