Will I see much improvement in traction if I go from the 275 Goodyear run flats, to the Kumho 295s. A friend has some drag radials that I bolt on for the occasional trip to the strip, but I need some traction for the street, while still having the ability to play on the curves when the oppurtunity arises.
I think you will see improvement just in going away from the runflats. I went from the runflats to nitto 555's stock sizes and it was a huge improvement until I got heads cams etc. Now I have 335's Michelins and it still isn't enough, but it is better. :D
Thanks torchcoupe; Thats basically what I've been reading here. The guy I bought my car from had just put the run flats on, so they may have had 200 miles on them. I wanted to wait till they wore out, but with just the mods I have now, I can spin them basically all they way through first. I have been reading comments about the different tires you guys were using, but I wanted to put the widest "street tire" I could on the 10.5 inch rims, without going to a pure "drag tire", and without spending a fortune. I used to work for Goodyear, so I know what "overpriced" means.
Thanks
The BFG comp KDS? are good street tires. I think that is what they are called. They provide awesome street dry traction. I have a set of 285/30/18's for sale if you are interested. They only have 100 miles on them. i bought them used off a guy that had them on a show car for SEMA. I ended up just running a drag radial on the back 100% of the the time. If you are interested let me kn. Kaley
I am curious about that. How do people feel about running drags in the back all the time? Bad idea? Noticeable difference in dry weather conditiosn lets say compared to street tires? I want the best traction but I also want to be able to drive on the street everyday
Still looking for a definative answer or just opinion on that
i literally just put on new nitto dr 305/35/18 :yesnod: with 31 psi and non scrubbed in tire it did 3:63 zero to sixty based upon my vector excellronitor. the faster previous was 4:08 and that was when it was warm out. 37 degrees right now. they are not nearly as harsh on the square edged bumps  :hurray:

What kind of price are you looking for on the tires? Also, will the "30" aspect ratio change the speedo reading much?
Nick
How do the Nittos handle the curves? I enjoy going on weekend trips to the moutains and driving hard on the curves. :D
I paid $500 plus shipping for them last year. Make me a reasonable offer and we can work something out. I need to sell these so I can buy tires for my 20/19 inch combo. Thanks, Kaley
