Okay, the ABS is now gone, but every time the car starts I get all of the "Service Traction Control" and that kind of crap on the display. Is there any way to get rid of this or do I just need to deal with it?

I think you're gonna have to live with it throwing warnings.

Why not put it back on? You just devalued the car considerably.

I gotta ask why did you take it off?

Just goes to show that you really have to be careful when you buy a used car. Its not just whether or not the owners took care of them but whether or not they really did some bad things.

Call Mike@ETune and see if he can delete the code, I don't know if its PCM or BCM. Deleting the ABS is a decent way to save a few pounds on a mostly race car, or avoid a costly repair. :)

Why in the world would you want to get rid of your ABS...

The ABS thing is like the carb vs EFI argument. The old-timers don't think the "damn machine" should drive for them. I still remember the points vs electronic arguments.
I'd like to see anyone pulse the brakes as fast as ABS, or vary the pressure proportion from front to rear like the Bosch ABS in the Vette does.
What does the ABS motor weigh? Maybe 15lbs? Lay off the twinkes and you can lose that.

:nonod: I just don't see the point of removing the ABS system.
