OH NOOOO! Locking Lug socket missing??
If you need the get the lock quickly, you can order from there website http://www.amcorlocks.com/. You can order them for $15 a socket and they have an over night shipping option.
I had lost my key socket inbetween changing my front brake pads and my rears. With a track event coming up in four days I was able to order it on their website on wednesday night and it showed up in LA friday morning. They also have a phone number, but I only got a recording calling that.
The website also lists dealers that stock the sockets and/or have a master key set to determine which lock nuts you have. However, I called several dealers they listed and they all seemed rather clueless, saying it would either have to be order or they didn't know if their technicians actually had a master set or not.
Also, I asked about having the locks removed and everyone I talked to said they'd have to be cut off and that there was a chance the wheel could get scratched up in the process. I always thought you could hammer on a slightly bigger socket to get it off.
Don't forget to order two so you have a spare :D
I'd check http://www.amcorlocks.com/authorized_dealers.htm and see if you can find a nearby dealer with a master set.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
As the wheels are torqued to 100 ft/lbs. there is no way I could get vise grips let alone a screwdriver to budge the wheel locks. I also discovered that I could not use any socket be it US, metric or British Wentworth that could be pounded on and not slip or not go on at all. I went to a couple of shops that said they had a special socket that would get them off, no problem. It was an insurmountable problem and was told they would have to be cut off. Went to the dealer and he had a set of different lock keys but none would fit as the set was incomplete. He did call McGard and after giving them his dealer number they gave him a phone number for me to call and who to talk to. When I called they told me to take a digital picture of it and email it to them and they would match it up and send me a replacement. They did and I got my replacement key.
I do not know if you have McGard as I did or Amcor as others have suggested but I think your best bet is to go to a dealer, preferably one that sells and services a lot of Corvettes and hope they have the right key or can hook you up with the company
