I can tell you that give absolutely ungodly resonance in the 1400 to 1600 rpm range and again a higher rpm in my A4 with 4.10s and kooks headers and xpipe with no cats.

Re: Borla Stingers (magnetized)
I'm running bolra stingers on my z06 motor with cats and longtubes and its a kick azz exhaust but there is certainly some cockpit resonance. To me its not big deal and if your concerned i would get the GHL exhaust which i hear is quiet inside the interior and nice and aggessive when floored!!! See tuner LAPD for saleon GHLS righ now!
I just installed Stingers(quad tips) on my 2001 A4 w/3.15s. I was expecting a little more resonance than I have. I previously had B&B Rt. 66 and those were fairly quiet. After my first drive I was extremely happy that there was no unbearable sound coming from within. I don't have headers or xpipe.
Go for the Stingers! The sound they make when you fire it up, is awesome!
What about adding headers and keeping the stock exhuast or getting a used Ti exhuats of a Zo6???
Would that give you a little more sound and better power?????
Love the Stingers and resonance is not a problem. The only negative I have on the Stingers is they will cost you gas mileage. The reason for this is they sound so damn good you will be running in lower gears then necessary just to hear them! Enjoy! I've had both Borla and Corsa and my opinion is Borla rules and Corsa sucks. Try to listen to them on a similar car as personal taste varies widely.

Just a thought may not be right
Better power & only a slight increase in sound over the stock setup throughout idle, cruise & WOT......
I see that you have the stingers with a semi normal setup. I am thing of going with them on myh 98. Just wanted to make sure that they were not way tooo loud.
I have a 6 speed and I think the resonance is not bad at all I have theard that with auto it is a little worse.
I love the sound and thought my wife would think that they are a little too loud, but she loves them also. When cruising at 70mph plus they are not much louder than stock. But at WOT they are loud and sound wonderful. Like a Corvette should sound. :hurray: :hurray:
I think Borla must have designed the Stingers for use with oem or lightly modded Vettes, because they produce a heck of a lot more resonance, than is desirable on a H/C car, like mine. Mostly at 1500-1600 rpm, regardless of speed. :skep:
Sounds great at idle and WOT though!

Please explain to me why a H/C car would want any less resonance then any other car?
Maybe that only applies to "strong" underperforming setups like yours ;)
I have the exact same setup A4 with 3.15. I have the stingers installed, but put on a Bassani x pipe at the same time so no resonance. Although I had a 2k Formula with the SLP loudmouth that was resonance.
