My thoughts from the Tuner Shootout
First off, I need to thank everyone involved in putting on this event, and a LOT of people that helped us. We weren't having the best day at the track, but members and other tuners were doing anything they could to help us and we really appreciated it.
TEK WARRIOR - you did a ton of work to put this thing on, and I have to say you handled the whole day with professionalism, despite problems beyond your control.
TLewis - thanks for helping TEK, I know it's not easy, but you made it look that way. Also a big thanks to you and the track owner for putting us in touch with Randy, who left his house at 9:00 Sat night to drive in to Augusta and find us parts. He didn't have them, and we ended up not needing them, but the effort meant a lot.
Carmen @ Vette Doctors - you got out of bed Sat night to bring us tools and didn't even get mad! a couple of your crew even helped Jon while I ate my tranny fluid seasoned dinner, big thanks for that!
DJ & Kerri Self - you guys were very cool to hang out with, and I'm sure you were having some fun on the streets of Aiken! Thanks for being so understanding, had we not had some breakage, I know you would have won class, and probably surprised a few of the faster cars with that driving!
TURBOZO6 - I know you've got some fast runs coming in that car, keep the dream alive joykey!!!
JRod - Nice talking to you Sunday night, all I can say is you and Brent had the two fastest head & cam cars I've seen, congrats to both of you.
Major Spray - congrats on the fast time, you're knocking on the door, and it will open soon.
Calvin - Those Krystal burgers hit the spot when we needed them most!!!!
Dick McKee - Thanks for showing up with your 226MPH top speed beast right when we needed a shifter!!!!!!
And most importantly, I need to thank our crew. Those guys worked hard all weekend, especially Jon. He wouldn't let me help drive, worked like an animal all weekend, and drove the whole way home! If there is an Ironman award it should go to him.
I had a blast meeting everybody and seeing all of your sweet cars, and no matter what went on, I would do it all over again, because the bottom line is:
It was 34 degrees at home!!!!!!!
Thanks everybody,
Ed

There was so much helping and camaraderie there it was exciting.
Even Mr Mojo donated his line-lock solenoid when Boweryboy's went south.

Hey Double D...
I had a blast!! I would do it again anytime.
We definitely have the power considering the parts we broke.
The worst part of the trip for me was the $440.00 for the speeding ticket.
My nephew, Big Joe is still red in the face from the Hooter Girls.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen!

Thanks John & Greg, it's car owners like you that make it possible for us to do what we do.

Hope you guys come up to etown this year for some good racing & some cold beer after. Can't wait to see Gregs & DJs cars run down the track.

Re: My thoughts from the Tuner Shootout (NJ99FRC)
Calvins car, and Steve Dumlers car both had issues that prevented them from attending. That's a shame, those 2 cars a very fast!
