another note....MTI tested the Dynatech and Kooks set up back to back on the same car and saw an additional 4 rwhp and 12 lb ft of torque from the Kooks over the Dynatech. However, that was the Kooks no cat x pipe compared to the Dynatech set up with the cats...so that may be the difference right there. Also, I have no affiliation with MTI or Kooks...just trying to round up as many people as possible for this group purchase so we can all get our headers as cheaply as possible :D :steering:
I'm interested in seeing the dyno sheets if MTI releases them.
Does the dynatech use bolt on collectors for these headers? I had them on my first ls1 f-body.... I had HORRIBLE collector leaks with them... Overall they were a good header, but don't use their gaskets or bolts. If the collectors are welded on, obviously it will be different..... They are the same company that makes FLP, etc... They are a HUGE company, but I will still get LG longtubes when it comes to that purchase.
isnt the cat back system 2.5in in diameter anyways? (im thinking borla stingers here)
so, if the Lg's go from 3 in diameter x-pipe into a 2.5 in diameter exhaust(catback) wouldnt that be the same as going from a 2.5 diameter x-pipe into a 2.5 in diameter exhaust(catback)?
