Default Cam question

Will I see any difference if I just upgrade the CAM only?

Yes, you can get a big difference in performance with a cam swap. This is assuming you already have the supporting bolt on's to go along with the cam swap. By supporting bolt on's I mean T/C, gears, headers and an air box if you have an A4. Or headers, gears and air box if you have an M6.

Yes to follow up on what Mitch said assuming proper bolt ons, headers, tuning, a cam only install is the one single internal engine mod that will make the biggest power increase for you. A properly selected aftermarket cam picked for you specific application REALLY WAKES up these LS1 motors. With proper selection and aforesaid bolt ons it is not uncommon to pick up 60 to 70 rear wheel HP (87.5 at the crank if your an A4) just from a cam and the related bolt ons!!! GO FOR IT, your car will feel like you transplanted a new POWER PLANT in it!!!

Of course you will have to upgrade you valvetrain with the proper springs, retainers, push rods, etc and all the tuners offer a complete cam package including these components!!! :chevy If you decide to do a cam email or IM me and i can make some solid recommendations and suggestions for you.

Me and a buddy of mine just did the cam in his 99 hardtop. Cam only at the time. It really woke the car up. He has headers on the way. Kaley
