Default 97 A4 w/3.15's looking for TC advice

I currently have a 97 A4 w/3.15's. I am planning on installing a transgo shift kit and TC. I have read TC posts w/A4's and 3.42/3.73 setups. Any advice on which TC upgrade to install using 3.15's?

Mike at Yank reccommends the SS3200 with the 3.15 gears. I just bought one myself but don't have it installed yet :D

I have a 97 A4 w/3.15's.. I installed the Yank 3200 a year ago.. Droped my quarter times by .6 - .7 ... 60 ft best so far is 1.69 on drag radials... No problems to speak of....

:iagree:

Go with the SS3600 or the SS3800, especially if you plan on adding a cam and bigger gears later. Alot of guys who install a 3000-3200 stall eventually go to a bigger stall. You might want to rethink installing a shift kit. Check the Yank web site under F.A.Qs Yank does NOT recommend using shift kits with their converters.

trust everybodys advice when they say go bigger. I have a ss3200(3:42) and wish i would have gone with ss3600 or ss3800. Dont get me wrong , the 3200 is great tc, but you'll want more. just my .02
