Can anyone tell me where is the signal flasher on a 2002, I was told it was under the dash by the drivers right leg wrapped in foam. I have the whole bottom dash out and did the CLB so I thought this would be a good time to look, can't find it though. I am trying to see how tough it would be to add the LED brake lights and need to replace it with another
I could be wrong about this, but that never stopped me before, so here goes...
I don't think there is a flasher like you're thinking of. I'm pretty sure the C5 uses a circuit board/computer to control the turn signals, and then produces the audible 'click' just because everyone wants to hear it. If you want to install LED bulbs you would have to get the 'load resistor' and wire it in parallel with the LED to fool the computer into thinking it had a normal bulb installed.
The corvette article states that the flasher that has to be pig tailed to is placed different and randomly in the cars. I spoke with the guy who sells them and he says that it is the only wires that are wrapped in foam, I have alot of wires wrapped in foam underneath the dash  He will be in on monday and I will see if I can get further results on it. Thanks for the replys and I will keep you updated. :flag
