My Corvette was very tight with no squeaks or rattles for three years. I have recently developed a creaking noise that sounds like it is coming from the connection between the roof panel and the windshield. The sound only occurs when I drive over a rough road surface. Does anyone know what this is? Do I need to lubricate something or is there an adjustment at that connection? Thanks.
I have the same problem, one of these days I'll try adjusting the latches, but for now I can make the noise go away by pulling the latch handle on the drivers side towards me about 1/4". It's not enough to unlatch the top, but it changes the tension on it just enough to stop the squeaks.
try some armorall or similiar plastic protectant on the weatherstriping. It worked for me around the rear hatch and roof panels. The dashboard pad is probably rubbing, try taking it off and giviing it the same treatment.(takes about 20 minutes, its worth a try.
