Thanks,

I have a 2001 Z06 and have overheated the brakes/boiled the fluid a few times at track events. I've tried a few things to help cool the brakes the latest seemingly the most effective--we'll see in April at Road America!

I bought some tubing used for wet vac hoses, I believe it's 2.5" or 3" tubing--got it at home depot. I mounted it in the plastic air dam up front using wire ties. I then routed it back making sure it clears the tire and the suspension. It appears to be working great, it's not rubbing or interfereing with anything (no roughed up spots, etc). I've yet to test it under extreme conditions so we'll see. This is in addition to the venting already present and doesn't use any of the existing factory air ducts--the more air on those brakes the better!

I made some last minute changes to air ducting last year at the track and noticed a huge difference. This is more permanent than the changes I made last year so we'll see.

3.5" Rich I put the 3" from Lou's spindle ducts to the insde of the DRM with a ring type stop inside. I left some of the DRM size tubbing to go over the DRM duct end and the 3" tubing like a sleeve.

John,

It loks good! It's a shame Lou couldn't of used 3.5 spindle inlets.

It doesn't sound like much but it may hit the wheel easier on a 17" wheels the first batch will be 3" but the second batch I think will have 3.5" as a option. It would be easier.
