Default 90mm Fast install

Nick and I installed the Fast 90mm and one of his TB's this weekend. It's not like swapping stock intakes. There are some small issues to deal with, that once you've done it the next is easy. The manifold fits, but there are tubes and wires by the fire wall that need to be moved and a couple of extensions
are needed. Once it's torqued down everthing clears. It is tight, though. Tuning the throttle body was tough at first. I had installed a bigger cam last week and the IAC and RAF values had to go way up to give the cam more air.
The throttle body, on the other hand pushes so much air that my tables are now lower than stock. It picked up 3 Maf ft lbs. From 42 to 45. That's a lot of air. This setup should be really good on big cube engines.
I picked up 15 hp and 35 tq with cam and 8hp and 10tq, more, with the intake. I'm at 382 hp and 429tq. All runs unlocked. The HP is what I expected, but the torque is a pleasant surprise and I can feel it big time. There was no tuning done for the dyno, either time.

Nice numbers. Thats about the power I was making with my set-up when I went high 10's. So get to the track !

It seems like our cars will almost be clones, btw I just put on a FAST intake and 90mm TB today.

I really wanted to get some same day dyno numbers to compare intakes, but like you I heard that you need to do some tuning to get the IAC's and other points dialed in. I will dyno next week sometime. :seeya

Congrats Joe!!
Incredible increase in Torque. :D I think the FAST looks alot better than the stock manifold...I hadn't seen a decent pic on a motor. Are the 90 mm TBs now available?? Thanks!

Thanks Roger, I wish mine was a clone of yours. I got it running pretty well today. The cam is not too big and was designed to be streetable, so I gave up some power. My plan was to run low 11's. But, I secretly, would really like to break into the 10's. We'll see.

The pic shows the FAST Intake manifold in black. This is the first manifold that I have seen from FAST that is black. Is this how they are selling their manifolds now? It looks allot better than the white nylon material that they were previously using.

Thanks Joel, a nice feature is how well it runs on the street. I'll see if I can get better pictures during the day. The TB is really pretty.

LG sells the TB's.

Sorry, it's light gray. My viewer shows the right color. It looks really good with LG's TB.

Yes it's fun and it's scary as sh_t when you kick it at 60mph and it goes sideways. Racing is for the track only now.

I e-mailed you a few minutes ago about our install. Jeff may follow up later today with his comments. He has some more tuning to do, but it is up and running. We are going to strap on the Mickeys to see if we can feel any SOP increases. :D :D

I went from a 222/568 to a 228/588. Still ababy by todays standards. It is very streetable for me. I would not want bigger.

I did. It's an 85mm and should handle it. I'll wait until someone shows a bigger one is better.
