Blackwing Installation
I'm planning on purchasing a Donaldson Blackwing. I had a friend do some reseach on the blackwing. We had a question on the required pieces to do the installation. I have the current Mid America catalog #154B. On page 5-31 shows the Blackwing induction system. The picture shows the filter and a coupler. My question is do I need to purchase this shown coupler for my MAF to attach to blackwing fliter housing? I'm installing a carbon fiber power duct in place of the stock power duct. My car is a 04 Zo6/Z16.

Nope, dont need the coupler. just the filter will do fine. it uses the stock ducts. the power duct is just a cosmetic change, expect zero HP gains from that.
