What your car ran at the vette shootout in the not so stellar weather?

From what I remember it ran a 10.64 at 127 or 128mph.

DA was around +1000 and they are still on the stock tranny hitting the rev limiter sometimes.

1.481 60 ft.
6.786 @ 101.38 1/8 mile
10.647 @ 127.08

A 10.68, 10,8X and two others in bracket racing where he lifted. Jeff has the time slips at his house. DA of 10.64 run was +800ft.

Great Runs Roger I saw them. I lined up against Jeff and my traction controll was "Off", but it was still engaging. Jeff had to go without me.

Nice seeing you and your sons and your car was really fast :auto: :thumbs

Roger - when do you get the new tranny, intake, and TB installed? Hope you can get some runs with the new stuff before it starts warming up. Still waiting for track to open up here.

Intake and TB were in last week. We picked up about what everyone else seems to be getting with the intake/TB. We still have not dyno tuned it yet, but Jeff did some Edit garage tuning Friday night. It seemed to be running real rich and he cleared that up for now. He did one other tweak at the track after calling Sean at MMT.

The new tranny hopefully will be here tomorrow. I am calling FLP tomorrow to see if it is on it way. We are looking forward to San Antonio next weekend, although I am dog-tired now. We are going to stay at a motel Saturday night to be rested (mostly for my benefit!).

They did not start the event until the temps were on the rise, so we probably missed the window to get a 10.5X, but even then, our 60 fts were not very good. We had a lot more 1.5Xs than we were used to.

It was fun watching the guys interact (aka, friendly smack talk ) especially Gary, Mitch and Scott. IF the spectators did not know any better, they probably thought there was going to see a confrontation  in the pits.

Hey Roger, Don't be surprized if that new tranny slows your et by .005 or so.
Ive heard the heavier components along with more drag can do that.

Good luck.

That might be true if the stack tranny was still performing flawlessly.

When you hit the rev limiter and have to keep lowering shift points, I dont think the new tranny is going to lower times.

We know the stock tranny is on its way out. We even preheated the fluids in the tranny to warm it up before the first run, but it still banged  the limiter hard on the 1-2 and maybe the 2-3. Jeff still ran a 10.8X and that was when the air was the best of the day!

Hopefully with the new tranny, we can be real aggressive on our shift points.

Thats true! If it was slipping and hitting the rev limiter your top end may
go up!

How did you like the fast. Could you feel the difference. How much hp do you think you gained? Thanks

We gained 20 rwhp with the intake and a 90 mm TB. And anything that gains HP at is something I like. Also we have not ported the intake, YET.
:D
