Well I went to put the battery back in the vette and notice that all the wiring coming from the fuse box was in disarray. So I disconnected all the connectors by the battery and re taped them so they weren't exposed.Well needless to say when I plugged everything back in it wont crank over and messages come up on the dic.traction control abs and shock inoperative. Also I noticed that when I try to crank it over all the lights go out including the hood light and radio.I have checked all the connections three or for times and there is no problem there.Any ideas also wondering when I disconnected the connectors if I might have had a security breach.Could really use so help.By the way it started before I did this.

How long was the battery out of the car? Sounds like winter storage, yes?
How did the wiring from the fuse box get "disarrayed?"
You checked the connections themselves. DId you check which end was reconnected to which, three or four times as well?
The wiring has always looked a mess next to the battery like they might have had some troubleshooting done.I had the battery in before i did this and it started right up.
Ok here is what I did I pulled apart all the connectors and matched all the wire colors on the male connectors with the females and it started. The only thing I could think of is that GM used two connectors the same.UN f^&&^ing believable.Either that or a bad connection exsist in on of the connectors and I move it the right way.
