Tire sizes...what do the numbers mean?
Can someone explain to me, or point me to a website, explaining tire sizes and what the numbers mean? I can not seem to remember what those numbers mean and in relation to wheels what size fits what wheel?
Will stock C5 tires (non-Z06) fit 17 x 9.5 and 18 x 10.5 rims/wheels?
Yes, the stock C5 tires will fit the Z06 sized wheels, but not ideally.
The tires will appear too small for the wheels, the sidewall will look pushed in.

P245/45ZR-17. This means the section width (not the tread, but the widest part of the tire) is 245mm wide, the height (from the rim to the tread) is 45% of the section width, the tire mounts to a 17 inch wheel. The Z is a speed rating, the P means it's a passenger car tire, and the R means it's a radial.
