"Magic Stick Rev.2 The specs are 239/244, .625"/.635" on a 113 LSA. This camshaft is definitely designed for the aggressive heads/cam packages & is very aggressive for stock cubes & small strokers"
Since I've got new motor being built I have to decide stay with 231/237 or go to the new one. My worries are that it is not going to be very streetable. My car has 4.10's and engine should have around 11.4 to 1 compression so I think I should be ok. How streetable to you guys think I could get this cam. I young and stupid and love the lope the 231/237 was great and i wouldn't mind more :D All opinions pro and con wanted
Update:
Looking around and found this little baby I think a lot of you have seen it "Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - T-ReX v.2 - 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa 3500-6700 RPM Power Band. Violent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning, 4000+ converter on autos, 4.10's or greater on manual trans cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Due to the extreme nature of this camshaft, piston to valve clearance must be verified when using modified cylinder heads." Oh man some one slap me tell me I shouldn't put cam's like these in my daily driver. Honestly I want everyones opinion are these cams going to be streetable a lot of people at LS1 Tech seem to be saying they are. Just to give you more info pistons in new motor are going to have -7cc valve reliefs and i am planning on going with TSP Race cylinder heads. My concern is passing smog in CA. Just kidding but will car be driveable and LAPD can you tune this. Will 91 octane affect anything?
Streetable is a relative term. If you want smooth, quite idle and ease of cruising at low RPM then it's not steetable. If you don't mind a nice shake at idle and a mean growl at cruise then I'd say it's streetable. You'll just need to adjust your lower RPM driving habits - not too difficult as you have the 4.10s and 231/237 experience. Not a first date cam.;)
With tuning you can get it to idle comfortably in the 850 - 900 RPM range. :yesnod:
FWIW.

Please DO IT especially because you have 4.10 gears.
Once you lose stock like driveability, which you will lose with the 231/237 cam, go for as big as you can fit is my strong opinion.
Unless you drive around at 1100rpm, it will not be an issue.
I think I am the only question is which one to get. When I say streetable I mean not dying and sputtering and crap and has shake but not in insane amount I like it loved 231/237 but more would have been nice. So which one I am thinkin of going with TSP just because it is probably a littler better on valve clearance and I have done most of my business with them and love there customer service.
Yea I was planning on calling you this week. My parents pretty much insisted I get a new engine. I would have prefered yours it would have saved me money but they said they would pay for some of it. So had to order new one. Thanks for the offer though I really appreciate it.
I have a 244 250 cam in my Lunati stroker which I would say is close to about a 238/244 cam in a 346 motor.
It idles at 950rpm and I drive it 20k miles a year. I even have 3.42s at the moment. No real issues. Once the car is warmed up, there is no bucking etc unless I am driving under 1500rpm.
Well I think i have made up mind. Probably tsp saw a post on LS1 tech here it is http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147064 amazing i think and this way I can stick with tsp! Here one to TSP  And i should be calling them soon stay tuned for new motor dyno most likely by first week of April.
don't know what springs they said on their heads you choice of springs but don't hav all the info yet. Which will you guys think work best. does it matter that i got yella terra rockers i read some where that you need some decent spring with those don't know why though
