I just installed a set of 1 3/4" Kooks and am wondering if anyone has had problems with burning their O2 wires or the connectors to the front and rear O2's? The collector appears to be about 1 1/2" from the electrical connector for one of the front O2 wires. After letting the car idle for 10 minutes and get nice and hot on a 75 F day, I could hold my fingers on the eletrical connector for a log time. I figure it must be around 150 F, and this shouldn't hurt the plastic or the insulation. What I don't know is how hot these will get after hard running. Has anyone experienced burned wires or melted connectors? Or taken steps to protect them with insulation or heat shielding?
Re: Headers and O2 wires. Any problem? (2kbluestreak)
The front connectors are very close to the header. (I don't have the rear sensors) I just made sure I zip tied the wiring harnesses as far away from the headers as possible so that they would not fall against them. :yesnod:

Thanks for the advice guys. The left side was easy to zip tie to a pair of brake lines. The right side looks like it could flop against one of the tubes. I hope I can find something to zip tie it to.
