Does it makea difference swapping O2 sensor input wires left for right?
I've heard of people doing this in order to make the wires fit following a header installation. In considering headers, would this make any difference to the computer, or should a person spring for connector extensions? I wouldn't think the computer could adjust for each bank of the engine, but I may be wrong. I do realize it adjusts for varying inputs, but don't believe it can adjust one bank vs the other. Thanks!

I beleive it will cause a problem. Once, when I was replacing sims (at LGM), by mistake they reversed the wires. The car kicked codes, and ran very poorly.

Installing Dynatechs the booklet said the left O2 goes to the left and the right to the right.
This was for the fronts.

Yes, the computer adjusts for both sites. You have 2 short term fuel trims, and 2 long term fuel trims, and 2 sides worth of O2 sensors. This isn't a coincidence ;)
Crossed wires will cause the car to run very poorly.

If you're talking about the primary O2's before the cats, then they have to be left to left and right to right because these feed back to the main engine computer to adjust mixture. I think all the rear O2's do is tell the computer that either or both cats are not working properly. I have my rears crossed and no problems occur. :yesnod:

2kbluestreak is correct. The front ones should not be crossed, but the rear ones can be.
The odd part about the rear sensors is that they are already crossed from the factory. The driver side cable actually connects onto the passenger side rear sensor - and vice-versa.
