I recently lowered my vette and now I would like to do a 4wheel alignment and go for the Z06 alignment, but I have heard that as long you have the runflats on the car you can not go with the Z06 alignment because of the runflat tires have harder side walls. Is this true??

I have been told to avoid the Z06 negative camber spec with run flats. The sidewall is too stiff and puts stress on the bearings and suspension.
P.S. I have relatives just outside of Stockholm. Maybe we are related!
Re: Z06 alignment with runflats? (GrandMasterFlash)
Go and get a "normal" alignment, not the one with Z06 specs as long as you run the run flats. It makes no sense, it even will be worse in driving because due to the camber the car will run too much only on the sidewall of the tire.
The tuner that I went to advised that I go to Z06 specs (he knew that I have runflats) after I lowered my car and had DRM coilovers put in. Are there any other tuners or experienced folks out there with more thoughts about this?
If you are driving the car on the street ... stick with stock C5 alignment.
If you take the car to race tracks (road courses) then the Z06 alignment may be OK.
The higher negative camber of the Z06 alignment is to compensate for heavy cornering loads usually found on a race track. Without those loads, all you're doing is wearing out the inside of the tire tread prematurely.
I have a 2000 C5 with a set of runflats and a set of OEM Z06 wheels and tires. Even before I put the Z06 combo on, c4c5specialist suggested to go with a "modified" Z06 alignment on the runflats, which is what we did. About half the negative camber difference between a Z06 and the standard coupe/convertible. Made a difference, and without the extra uneven tread wear of the Z06 specs.
Try another trick -- go to maximum caster (off the top of my head around 7 or 8 degrees), and get a heavier Z06 like feel to the steering -- much more stable than the lighter stock coupe/convertible feel.
