Well Robin, you didn't actually say that outright (come to think of it I never used the word "stupid" either), but you'll be the first person I know of that changed rear axle ratios on a C5 with no concerns or worries about loss of traction.
Everyone else has solely been in the "1/4 ET mode" or the "win street races" mode when wanting to change ratios.
But hey, each to their own specific pleasures in life; thank god we live in a country with so many choices.
Now,,come on,, I dont always smoke the tires,, but it is fun,,,and I appreciate Mikes reply,,, life would be boring if we all went the same direction. I now feel I may have went to far with the 373 gears....but it is a done deal...guess I will have to keep my speed down to save gas. This is a fun car for me, I wanted kicks and giggles with it, I am not serious about racing, street or track. I am quite sure it will be fast enough to enjoy. Truth be said, it wont be the first car I have ruined by taking it over the edge, too high gear, to big cam, to high stall...but they were all fun ....
Mike , i most likly will agree with you after I drive it a while,, but I just hate to admit to myself I will need tires so soon....drat,,,,,wheeeee.....I actually thought the tire comment was that I had to get tires,,not just a traction problem,, i wuz having a bad day, water permits to fill out,, ya know goverment stuff for work,,,I really appreciate the info you guys have, I have learned a lot from you guys and my comments were not meant to offend.. as i am sure Mikes were to inform that I will have a serious traction concern...thanks all....
