Default Plugs and wires

I recently saw an article in the February 2004 edition of Corvette Enthusiast praising the value of Bosch's Platinum Plus 4 spark plugs and TPI Specialties plug wires. They claimed a 5hp and 6 lb-ft gain.

What is the consensus of the best plugs and wires to use on a C5? I am ready to put LG Motorsport longtube headers on my wife's 2000 A4 and want to change plugs and wires at the same time.

Thanks for the help!

The only ignition system that improves power at all is when a multi spark ignition is used in an engine with a large open chamber.
With todays CC designs and tight quenches, a MSD does nothing.

I run NGK plugs because I don't trust the delco platinums, and MSD wires because the stockers on my 98 Camaro came apart on me and the MSDs were cheaper and were in stock. I moved them to the Vette when I got it only because they look cool.

Cliff notes, replace stockers with NGKs and spend the other money on something that works.
