Hurst shifter install questions
I am thinking about a billet plus for my 99 6spd. How much interior/console will I have to remove/replace? How long does the install take? Thanks.

Took me an hour the first time. Now it takes about 20-30 mins.
You have to remove the armrest thingy. Then disconnect the fuel door. Then remove the center console. Then its pretty simple.
Unscrew the rubber piece on top of the shifter and then unscrew the shifter.
When I did it the first time, the hardest part was just getting the damn center console off without scratching up the interior. I have no patience.

yeah, hardest part is the console. Make sure u have ALL the little bolts out, and ALL THE WIRING disconected. Getting a buddy to help makes the T-bar easy to remove. Smoking and joking it took us an hour and a half on our first one.

Dude... its simple. I started by putting in a new shifter and since have put in stereo and much more. I have taken the console out at least 10 times and i can do it in like 5 minutes or less. 1: 10mm socket & wratchet 1: size 15 torx and 1: flathead screwdriver to pry things with.
