Re: what does this code mean in english (ICULUKN-C5)
DTC's as follows:
· DTC P1514 Throttle Body Performance
· DTC P1515 Control Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance
· DTC P1516 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance
· DTC P1517 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Performance
· DTC P1518 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Serial Data Circuit
Re: what does this code mean in english (ICULUKN-C5)
Some of the conditions for setting the code are the PCM detecting that actual airflow (MAF) and Speed Density is much greater than the expected (calcuated) airflow rate. If no other TAC codes are set the engine will operate under reduced engine power until the diagnostic runs without failing. When other TAC codes occur at the same time the PCM may allow more power if it determines limited safe operation is OK or it may kill the engine.
Things to check:
Throttle blade for being bent, broken or missing
Inspect the TP sensor for proper installation. If it is mis-aligned it will set the code.
When a TAC code is set one problem may set many codes due to redundant checks being run.
Re: what does this code mean in english (ICULUKN-C5)
Basically it meansthe MAF is seeing more air than it can meter so most of the time it throws the car in reduced power mode. Its very common in blower cars and some N/A cars where there is significant porting of the throttle body.. There is a table in LS1 edit where you can raise the values so it does not happen. Hope this helps :seeya

Thanks... great service as usual. I only get this code when I am over 100 mph on the spray. I am sure this just a tuning issue. I will get this fixed on monday. Thanks again for all that helped.
