Yes you can use the same gaskets. If they look old or drying out, you can buy the set from GM.
Check the P/N's on both manifolds, they should be different.
The bottom of the LS6 intake is flat as compared to the bottom of the LS1 intake. That is why you need to grind the webbing on the bottom of the LS6 intake for clearance of your coolant line or use the LS6 coolant line and plugs instead.
swapping out the intake and removed the ls1 but didn't see any new gaskets with the ls6 I bought. do I use the ones from the old intake?
also, they look identical--how do you tell ls1 intake from ls6?
There are no gaskets, just O-rings. They should be molded into the Z06 intake.
maybe I'm using the wrong term then. on the stock intake I removed there were 8 rubber type gaskets/o-rings. the new intake did not come with them. should it have come with them or do I need to order new onces? it looks like the stock ones I pulled off would fit.

I would by new ones, also a new TB gasket and 8 new O-rings for the bottom seal on the fuel injectors. You will need to either grind out on the bottom of the new intake to clear your coolant line going across the top of the motor, or get the coolant line plugs and remove that line. Good time to do a throttle body coolant bypass mod while you are in there.
If you need those seals asap, go to the dealer, otherwise give Scoggin-Dickey a call, they know what you need. Also, did you get the newer correct size breather tube for it? Just curious because mine came with it, but it also came with new port gaskets.

Good luck!
thanks! the intake I got came with fuel rails and injectors already assembled and my guy is working on the coolant pipes blocking/welding/etc. the tb gasket, don't even know where that goes but I'll mention it to him.
Where can you buy the new coolant pipes and plugs? Thanks, Kaley
Actually what you are doing is removing the coolant line crossing the top of the engine and then plugging where it connected at each end. Give Scoggin-Dickey a call, they have what you need. http://www.sdpc2000.com/
My new Z06 intake already had the 0-rings installed. I got the block off parts at the local dealer. http://www.ls1howto.com has the PN's you need to order them.
